Katya Zamolodchikova is stepping back from live performing again, postponing her national tour with Trixie Mattel just one day before its scheduled kickoff in Oakland.
A Tour Halted Hours Before Its Debut
The cancellation landed the day before Katya and longtime collaborator Trixie Mattel were set to open the tour in Oakland, California, with dates planned across the country into 2027, including a Halloween dance party in Boston. Katya's team said ticket holders would receive details about refunds or rescheduling soon, but offered no specifics on what triggered the new health issue.
Katya will be taking time away from upcoming projects and live events so she can prioritize her health following recent medical complications. A full recovery is anticipated.
A Year of Medical Setbacks
This is Katya's second major health-related hiatus in 2026 alone. In May, she underwent emergency surgery after a bowel obstruction in her small intestine required doctors to decompress her stomach, flush her intestines, and remove and reconnect portions of her small and large intestine.
