Ottawa Charge teammates Emma Greco and Michela Cava are engaged, the couple announced on social media Wednesday, joining a wave of professional women's hockey players who've popped the question this year.
The couple's post kept it simple: "Us forever." The photos told the rest of the story, Cava kneeling in the sand with a ring in hand, and Greco wiping her eyes after saying yes. Fellow players flooded the comments with excitement.

A Partnership Years in the Making
Greco and Cava's relationship on the ice predates their relationship off it. They first suited up together during the 2020-2021 season with the Toronto Six, a team that later won the Isobel Cup. From there, both moved to PWHL Minnesota, where they helped capture the league's inaugural Walter Cup in 2024. Now teammates on the Ottawa Charge, the two recently helped push their club to the Walter Cup finals.
Part of a Bigger Trend
This engagement is one of several to hit the PWHL this summer. Toronto Sceptres defenders Allie Munroe and Kali Flanagan got engaged, as did Emily Clark of PWHL Hamilton and Jaime Bourbonnais of the New York Sirens. Greco and Cava's own teammate, Ronja Savolainen, is partnered with Toronto Sceptres player Anna Kjellbin. Earlier this year, Team USA captain Hilary Knight proposed to speedskater Brittany Bowe during the 2026 Milan Olympics.
