One of the most eye-catching cosplays came from Nathan Weir, who went full survivalist fantasy with an elaborate doomsday-prep armor look that blended practical aesthetics with high-fashion geek sensibility. Elsewhere, Brandon Jackson doubled down on comic-book history, cosplaying as both Bishop, the X-Men's time-displaced mutant, and Blade, the vampire hunter-two iconic characters that let him showcase range and craftsmanship.
