The ongoing public feud between Vice President JD Vance and Chris Baker, his childhood bully-turned-internet personality, has taken a dramatic turn with Baker proposing an official UFC-style cage match on the White House lawn.
A feud escalates
Baker first emerged publicly months ago by posting about Vance on social media, a campaign that prompted Vance to slide into his DMs asking him to stop spreading conspiracy theories. Rather than backing down, Baker doubled down—and last week, Vance's legal team sent Baker a cease-and-desist letter demanding he stop using the VP's name. Baker's response: a video challenge posted yesterday telling Vance to "take [his] cease and desist and shove it up [his] a**."
"Ever since I came back into JD's life he's been a nervous wreck," Baker says in the clip, referencing Vance's reported withdrawal from 2028 presidential ambitions and citing recent personal embarrassments that have made headlines.
The cage match proposal
Baker isn't stopping at social media jabs. He's now formally proposing hand-to-hand combat: "I have an offer for you JD," he says in his video. "Cage match, UFC style. White House front lawn. You versus me, your childhood school bully."
His proposal references the $60 million UFC cage currently under construction on the White House south lawn for a Trump birthday and America 250 celebration. The event is reportedly funded by UFC, though the administration is selling sponsorship packages starting at $1.5 million. Baker is so confident in his combat abilities—he regularly posts fitness content on social media—that he's promised to buy Vance a year's supply of mascara if he loses the match.
Vance under pressure
The challenge comes as Vance navigates multiple headaches: his fractured relationship with Trump, the departure of tech billionaire Peter Thiel to Argentina, and Baker's relentless public campaign. Baker's posts have struck a nerve, evidenced by Vance's legal action—a move that typically draws more attention to the very content it seeks to suppress. For now, Baker shows no signs of backing down, leaving observers to wonder whether Vance will dignify the challenge with a response.
