Acts of Insanity

Three Decks of Cards for Acting Out Scenes

This is a card game at heart. The set is built around 324 cards split evenly into three decks, and every round draws from all three. Shuffle them together and the combinations stay unpredictable, which is where much of the fun comes from.

Each round follows a fixed order. The team that is not acting reviews five cards from each deck, then picks one Character Card, one Action Card, and one Location or Object Card for the acting team. The actors then have two minutes, counted by the included timer, to perform the scenario while their teammates shout guesses. The short clock pushes performances toward broad, quick gestures rather than careful staging.

The game is made for 4 to 12 adult players. Written instructions come with the set, so the rules can be settled before the first timer starts. Teams can be as small as two people per side or as large as six, depending on how many guests are in the room.
