Sheer Nylon With a Stretch That Follows the Leg

Pull these on and the first thing your fingers register is the slickness. The nylon side of the blend has a cool, glossy hand, slipping over the calf and thigh without any drag. Ninety percent nylon and ten percent spandex means the fabric gives where it needs to, so the top band can sit high and hold without digging in.

The black tops are where the stockings do most of their visual work. A band of solid black runs along the upper thigh, and the seam down the back of each leg is the detail that pulls the eye downward. That straight line makes the leg look longer and gives the whole piece a slightly retro cast, the kind of seamed stocking that reads as deliberate rather than plain.

The bows at the back of the top band are small and sit exactly where a bow should. They add a bit of softness to an otherwise sleek silhouette.
