Fade to Black

Six shades of activity, one die, and 90 cards make up this game. Each shade holds fifteen cards, and the die decides which pile you draw from, so neither player fully controls where the evening goes. The activities run from slow foreplay through to full intercourse.

Six Shades, Fifteen Cards Each

The categories are Shades of Intimacy, Shades of Seduction, Shades of Temptation, Shades of Arousal, Shades of Fantasy, and Shades of Pleasure. Sort the cards into their six piles and place them face down between the two players, with no peeking. Each card names a single activity for the player who draws it to perform.

Three Ways to Draw Through the Deck

In the first option, players decide who rolls first. The roller uses the die to pick a category, draws one card from that pile, and performs the activity. Players can hold back their Shades of Pleasure cards for as long as they can resist, which stretches the session considerably.

The second option, called Fantasy Hand, has each player draw or deal one card from every category until both hold six. Those six cards become the plan for the evening, and players take turns acting out the cards in their hands.

The third option uses only Shades of Intimacy and Shades of Temptation. Players alternate drawing one card at a time from the two piles. Once each player has performed three activities from each pile, they move on to the remaining four categories and follow the first option.

Materials and What Comes in the Box

The cards are printed on card stock paper, and the die is made of ABS plastic. Because nothing in the set is water resistant, keep the cards dry. The whole set weighs 0.65 pounds and comes in red and black.
