Fishnet Meets Lace at the Top

Red fishnet runs from the ankle to the thigh, and the open mesh gives the leg a textured, almost woven look. Where the stocking meets the upper thigh, a band of lace takes over. The lace has a softer, more finished edge than the mesh below it, so the two fabrics read as separate pieces sewn together rather than one continuous knit.

The fishnet stretches in both directions, and the lace band adds a little give at the top. When pulled on, the mesh opens into wider diamonds and then settles back into place. Because the stretch comes from the knit itself, the stocking follows the shape of the leg instead of pulling flat across it. Expect the mesh to grip a little near the top where the lace sits.

The color is a clear, saturated red, and it shows up most against pale skin and dark clothing. The openings in the mesh let skin show through in small patches, which keeps the look light rather than heavy.
