Foul Mouth

A Personal Stack and One SWEAR WORD Card Each

Each player starts with one SWEAR WORD card and a stack of FOUL MOUTH cards, so everyone at the table has a separate pile to work through. Turns go around, and each player flips cards from their own stack onto the table, one at a time. The pile in the middle grows as the round goes on.

Foul Mouth blends the pace of WAR with the attention of Memory. You are tracking what has been revealed while waiting for the next card to show a match, which keeps the whole table watching even when it is not your turn.

How a Matched Pair Decides the Round

When two cards match on the table, the two players who own them face off. Each tries to be the first to say the other player's SWEAR WORD. The face-off is fast, and the winner keeps the upper hand for the next exchange.

The loser of each face-off picks up the FOUL MOUTH stack in front of the winner, along with their own stack. Piles change hands quickly, so a player can go from holding a few cards to holding most of them within a handful of matches.

Ending the Game With Your Last FOUL MOUTH Card

The pace stays quick until one player plays their final FOUL MOUTH card. That player wins the game. Since any match can shift the balance, no one can count on a comfortable lead until that last card hits the table.
