Defense Glide spreads thin and silky, with a slip that stays smooth instead of turning tacky. It is a water-based lubricant with a light, non-greasy texture. There is no heavy coating left behind on skin or toys. When you are done, it washes away with plain water, so cleanup is quick and sheets stay free of oily residue.

The size range covers most needs. A 3 ml single-use tube fits in a pocket or wallet. The 2 oz bottle works well in a travel bag. The 4 oz and 8 oz bottles suit regular use at home.

Ingredients

Intimate Earth builds this formula on a water base and adds plant extracts. It contains carrageenan from Chondrus crispus (a red seaweed), guava fruit extract, goji berry fruit extract, lemongrass leaf stem extract, aloe vera leaf extract and tea tree leaf oil. Polysorbate 20, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, citric acid and alcohol round out the list and keep the formula stable in the bottle. Compatibility

Because it is water-based, Defense Glide works with nearly everything in the nightstand:

• Polyurethane condoms
• Polyisoprene condoms
• Body-safe silicone toys
• Glass and metal toys
• Most other toy materials

Silicone toys are where water-based lube matters most. Unlike a silicone-based lube, this formula will not break down a silicone surface, so you can use it freely with dildos, vibrators and butt plugs.

Application

Start with a small amount, warmed between your fingers, then apply to skin, a condom or a toy. Water-based formulas can absorb over time. If the glide starts to fade, add a few more drops, or a light splash of water can revive it. After use, rinse your skin and wash toys with warm water or a toy cleaner. Cap the bottle tightly between sessions. Pick the 3 ml tube or 2 oz bottle when you are away from home, and the larger bottles when you want a steady supply within reach.
