Naughty or Nice Card Game

How the Cards Handle at the Table

Pick up a deck and the weight tells you most of what you need to know. Each card is printed on card stock paper, stiff enough to flick across a table and sturdy enough to survive a night of being dealt, read, and gathered back up. The surface is smooth, so the cards slide over one another in a clean stack instead of catching and bunching.

The stack itself is compact. Measured stacked, it stands 0.75 inches tall, runs 3.75 inches long, and spans 4.1 inches across, small enough to sit beside a glass or a bowl of snacks without crowding the table. At 0.295 pounds, the deck is light enough to hold in one hand while you read the next question aloud.

The double deck is what keeps the game moving. Two full decks give the group a long run of questions to work through, so the rhythm holds even when the evening stretches on. Each prompt is specific and personal, and answering yes or no keeps everyone reacting instead of waiting their turn. One sample card asks whether you have ever been attracted to someone who worked a mall Santa station, and it sets the tone for the rest of the deck quickly.

Card stock forgives rough handling but not moisture. Keep the deck somewhere dry, since damp paper can warp and make the stack harder to shuffle cleanly.
