Front and Back Slashes Cut Through Opaque Black Fabric

Slashes run down the front and back of this halter-neck mini dress, breaking up the opaque black fabric with openings where skin shows through. The material is a nylon and spandex blend, and the seamless construction keeps the surface smooth, with no ridges along the edges.

Spandex gives the knit a good deal of stretch. The fabric pulls across the bust, waist and hips, then settles back, following your shape rather than sitting on top of it. At about half a pound, the dress is light enough that it doesn't drag at the shoulders or neck.

The halter neckline does most of the work of holding the dress in place. Adjustable tie closures at the neck let you set how snug the bodice sits, which helps it stay put when you move around.

Attached garters and matching slash front stockings come with the dress, so the look is complete without separate pieces. The stocking slashes line up with the front of the dress when worn together. Wearing a blazer over it shifts the mood from evening to something more understated, if that suits the occasion.
