Checks for Lovers

Two Check Styles for Two Partners

Two checks, one bank of jokes. Checks for Lovers is an adult party game from Kheper Games, built around the layout of ordinary bank checks. Each partner gets a version written for them, so the pair can pass the checks back and forth across a dinner table or a late-night couch.

Hers looks like a standard check, with a date line, a pay to the order line, and a row of check boxes. The boxes carry the humor. The options read stocks 50 shares of SNM, bonds tie me up, and securities be naughty but tell me you love me first.

His Check Points Straight to the Hotline

His version is made out to the Filthy Boy Hotline, followed by a dirty talk entry that is charged by the minute. A second line offers a good time, call me, and a signed line closes the piece. Between the two checks, the joke is in the wording rather than in any mechanism, so the game runs on reading and reacting.

• Templates designed to resemble real checks
• Date line and pay to the order line on her check
• Check boxes with playful options on her check
• Hotline payee and per-minute dirty talk line on his check
• Signed line on his check

A Matched Pair of Templates

The two checks are designed to work as a set. Her check gives the playful choices, and his check gives the phone line and the sign-off. Because each one follows the look of a standard check, the gag lands on the details rather than on the format, which keeps the game light and quick to read.

Both templates use the same styling, so the pair reads as one set from start to finish.
