Collars & Leashes

Collars & Leashes

Collars & Leashes covers two kinds of product: collars worn on their own, such as buckle day collars and Velcro styles, and sets that add a leash, chain leash, cuffs or a harness. Decide first whether you want a collar you wear alone or one that connects to something else, then compare the fastening and fit.

Collars & Leashes Buying Guide

The simplest pieces are standalone collars, like the Sex & Mischief Double Buckle Day Collar, which closes with buckles and suits everyday wear under clothes. Velcro collars, such as the B&W style with adjustable straps, adjust without buckles, and a neoprene collar and leash set gives you a soft, flexible collar paired with a lead. Chain leashes, as on the Euphoria Collar with chain leash, look more dramatic and are easier to attach and detach from a ring on the collar.

Several designs go further. A harness with a choker collar, like the Aurelia middle strap harness with spikes, adds straps across the body, while a collar with nipple or clit clamps, such as the Master Series collar, combines two accessories in one piece. Neck-to-wrist restraints, including the Strict style, link the collar to the wrists, so check the cuff type and the length of the connecting strap before buying. Items sized as O/S are one size, so read the measurements shown on the product rather than assuming a fit.

Sport Sheets is the largest group on this page, and Spartacus, California Exotic Novelties and SHOTS AMERICA each carry a number of products here. Many of the sets are sold as complete kits, so compare what each one includes before choosing between a bundle and a single piece.

Collars & Leashes FAQ

What is the difference between a day collar and a collar with a leash?
A day collar is worn on its own and is designed to look discreet under clothing, usually with a buckle or Velcro closure. A collar with a leash has a ring or fitting so a lead can be attached, which suits play where you want to hold or guide the wearer. Check whether the leash is included or sold separately.
How do I choose the right collar size?
Measure the neck where the collar will sit, not at the Adam's apple, and compare it with the size chart on the product. Adjustable collars with buckles or Velcro can cover a range of sizes, while items marked O/S suit one size only. Plus-size designs are cut to fit a larger neck range, so check their measurements too.
Are neck-to-wrist restraints the same as collars?
No. A neck-to-wrist restraint is a collar with cuffs attached by straps, so it holds the wrists close to the neck. Look at the length of the connecting strap, the cuff fastening and whether the collar adjusts, because these determine how much movement the set allows.
Is a neoprene collar easy to clean?
Neoprene is a soft, flexible rubber-based fabric that is generally wiped clean with warm water and mild soap, then dried fully. Follow the care instructions on the product, and avoid oil-based products on it unless the maker says they are safe to use.
