Dayna Kathan, known for her time on the reality series Vanderpump Rules and her popular podcast, came out as a lesbian in a June 7 Instagram post celebrating Pride Month. In the post, she sat between two friends beneath a Philadelphia Pride flag, wearing a camisole that read "GAY," and wrote: "Shout out to my fellow late in life lesbians!! HAPPY PRIDE!!!"

A Journey of Self-Discovery

Kathan's coming-out as a lesbian marks an evolution in her public journey with her sexuality. She initially came out as bisexual in 2019 on Instagram, showing off rainbow-painted nails and writing that the news would "come as a surprise to no one." The following year, during Season 8 of Vanderpump Rules, she opened up on screen with castmate Ariana Madix about attending Pride as an out bisexual woman, the two celebrating as "bi sisters" with excitement and high-fives. In a confessional segment, Kathan reflected that she had known since middle school that she was attracted to multiple genders, and had decided early on that she would be authentic about her identity.

Community Support and Connection

The June 7 post resonated widely across social media. Friends, fans, and fellow cast members flooded the comments with congratulations. Katie Maloney, who co-hosts the Disrespectfully podcast with Kathan, wrote: "My favorite lesbian! I love you so much!!!" The podcast, launched in 2024, covers dating, mental health, and personal adventures, and has built a loyal following since its debut. Kathan's announcement joins a broader visibility moment for queer women in reality television, placing her among other high-profile figures who have recently come out publicly.
