RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 11 rolled out two fresh faces to its Pit Crew in a recent episode, and the gay internet has not stopped talking about them since.
Meeting the new recruits
The two newest Pit Crew members—model and actor Jyn Gittens and Javéntino (Javen Rodriguez)—were introduced during the pink bracket queens' Maxi Challenge, which tasked them with appearing in how-to videos alongside the competing queens. The challenge threw the new guys into the deep end, with scenarios ranging from playing zombies to getting tied up while a puppet shoved chorizos at them. Despite the wild demands, both men handled their debut episodes with ease.
Social media goes wild
Almost immediately after the episode aired, viewers took to social media to express their enthusiasm. Fans flooded X with compliments, with many calling the pair some of the hottest Pit Crew members the show has ever featured. The response was enthusiastic enough that the internet's amateur detective community quickly identified both men and began sharing their social media handles. Jyn Gittens, who appears to be straight, drew praise for being a supportive ally willing to participate fully in the show's campy spirit. Javéntino, meanwhile, has been actively engaging with fan comments, even reposting some of the more flattering (and flirtatious) reactions from viewers.
Keeping the show fresh
Rotating Pit Crew members is standard practice for Drag Race, though some regulars like Bruno and Bryce have become recurring fixtures. Still, after 17 seasons and a global franchise, the show continues to find ways to keep things exciting for its audience. The introduction of fresh talent to the Pit Crew is just one way the franchise has managed to stay engaging, alongside new formats and bracket-style tournaments in recent All Stars seasons.
