June is shaping up to be a banner month for queer television and film, with streaming services rolling out a diverse slate of LGBTQ+-focused content throughout Pride Month. Whether you're looking for camp, romance, drama, or pure entertainment to decompress after Pride festivities, there's something for everyone.

What's Coming to Streaming

The month kicks off with three releases on June 1: "What it Feels Like for a Girl" on Prime Video, which follows a young man's descent into Nottingham's early-2000s club underground, and "Proud" on HBO Max, a character study of a reckless gay man confronting family tragedy. Prime Video also delivers the fourth season of "The Legend of Vox Machina" on June 3, the fantasy adventure series that counts queer storytelling among its strengths.

June 5 brings a particularly rich harvest. Netflix launches two Thai BL dramas: "I'm the Most Beautiful Count," a time-travel romance set in a royal palace, and "This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans," a workplace romance centered on a restaurant kitchen. That same day, Tubi adds "Riley," a 2023 indie film about a high school athlete grappling with queer identity, while Netflix's "Office Romance" arrives featuring queer supporting cast members including Mary Wiseman and Ali Stroker alongside leads Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein.

Awards Shows and Marquee Events

Pride Month staples return too. The 79th Annual Tony Awards, hosted by P!NK, airs live on CBS and Paramount+ on June 7 from Radio City Music Hall. That same day, AMC+ debuts season three of "The Vampire Lestat," the "Interview with the Vampire" spinoff that veers into rock-and-roll territory as its titular antihero launches a multi-city concert tour while grappling with a vampire population surge.

A Month Built for Unwinding

The breadth of offerings reflects a broader appetite among streamers to reach queer audiences during the year's most visible celebration of LGBTQ+ life. From campy vampire spectacle to intimate indie dramas to international romance, June's programming acknowledges that queer viewers are looking for stories that reflect the full spectrum of our lives and interests. Whether you're between Pride events or just settling in for a well-deserved binge session, the month's calendar offers plenty of reasons to stay tuned.
