Sta-Hard Desensitizing Lubricant .5oz

Benzocaine Numbing Cream in a Small Travel Tube

Squeeze out a small amount and it spreads as a cream rather than a thin gel. The texture is smooth and fairly rich, with more body than a typical water-based lube. Each tube contains 5% Benzocaine, a topical numbing agent, so the numbing effect on the skin is the main purpose of this product.

Water is the first ingredient, followed by stearic acid, propylene glycol, mineral oil, stearyl alcohol, glycerin, glyceryl stearate, petrolatum, sodium lauryl sulfate, triethanolamine, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, and imidazolidinyl urea. Water and glycerin make up the moist part of the base, while the mineral oil, petrolatum, and waxy fatty alcohols give it the cream body. It is best described as a hybrid rather than a pure water-based formula.

That oil content matters for compatibility. Mineral oil and petrolatum can weaken latex, so this cream is a poor match for latex condoms. Check the material of any toy before using it with this product.
