Benzocaine at 5% in a water-based blend
The active ingredient is benzocaine at 5 percent, a topical numbing agent. It is the reason the cream has a desensitizing character, so sensation on the treated area is muted instead of fully removed.
The rest of the formula is made up of glyceryl stearate, imidurea, methyl paraben, mineral oil, propyl paraben, propylene glycol, petrolatum, stearic acid, stearyl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate, trolamine, and deionized water. Together these form the base that carries the benzocaine across the skin.
Compatibility with condoms and toys
Since the formula is water-based, it is designed to work with the materials most often used for condoms and toys. The creme is listed as compatible with most condoms and toys made from latex, rubber, and silicone.
