The Campaign
The campaign begins with Piper posing shirtless in light-wash denim with the Scuffers logo visible on his underwear. In subsequent images, he removes his jeans to reveal white briefs bearing the brand name, and eventually appears nearly nude wearing only a Scuffers crop top. The bold approach has generated significant buzz on social media, with fans and observers reacting enthusiastically to the cheeky marketing strategy. What "Guapo" Really Means
Scuffers, founded in Madrid in 2018 by teenagers Jaime Cruz and Javier López, chose Piper as the face of the collection because, according to the brand, he embodies the "guapo" lifestyle. While the Spanish word translates literally to "handsome," Piper expands the definition beyond appearance. In a campaign video, he explains that being guapo is about attitude and self-belief rather than physical perfection. "Life being guapo is super stressful," he says. "I think being guapo is believing in yourself and not striving for perfection. The security in yourself and attitude you project. It's being guapo on the inside."Life Beyond Elite
Since leaving Elite five years ago, Piper has built a diverse career. He's released two albums, appeared in fashion shows, starred alongside castmate Manu Ríos in the Netflix thriller Muted, and posed for high-profile editorial spreads. The Guapo line, currently available on the European version of Scuffers' website, represents his latest venture into the fashion and lifestyle space.Cover photo: Atlantic Ambience / Pexels
